Who We Are

The Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads (ASYMCAHR) is dedicated exclusively to supporting active-duty service members and their families across all branches of the Armed Forces.

As one of only 12 Armed Services YMCA locations nationwide, we provide critical programs and services at little or no cost—ensuring military families have the support they need to thrive in one of the largest military communities in the country.

Unlike traditional YMCA organizations, we are independently funded and rely entirely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners to sustain our mission.

• Patriot’s Pantry – Providing food assistance to military families facing food insecurity
• Operation Little Learners – A free, curriculum-based early learning program that strengthens both children and parents
• Hearts for Heroes Fishing Trip – Offering wounded, ill, and injured Veterans a day of healing, camaraderie, and connection
• Operation Ride Home – Helping junior enlisted service members travel home during the holidays

Each program is designed to strengthen resilience, reduce stress, and build community among those who serve.
