This mission is personal to me!

Those of you who know me know how deeply I’ve loved serving our Navy community through quality-of-life programs for the past 40 years. That passion has only grown in my new role with the Armed Services YMCA, where I now have the privilege of working directly to support our military members and their families. 

Every day, I see the strength and sacrifice of military families here in Hampton Roads. While service members serve our country, their families are at home navigating constant change, long separations, and real challenges ... often without a strong support system.

That’s where the Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads steps in by providing food assistance, childcare, and programs that support and strengthen these families when they need it most.

And I’ve seen firsthand how these programs change lives. I’ve met the families who rely on this support, and I KNOW how much it matters.
