Terms of Service

As a nonprofit choosing to participate in and/or collaborate as a benefitting partner of the Give Local 757, you must agree to the Terms of Service which sets forth the services and duties provided by Give Local 757 and roles and responsibilities of all participants.


  1. I confirm that my organization is or is being fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)3 and will provide our EIN number and an organization representative’s information for verification.
  2. I confirm that my organization provides services in the Hampton Roads region.
  3. I understand that Give Local 757 has the right to request additional documentation to verify my organization’s tax exempt status or eligibility.
  4. I understand that prizes are offered to increase the engagement and excitement of the day, but should NOT be the sole reason for an agency to participate in Give Local 757. Prize monies offered are contingent upon the generosity of our sponsors and are not guaranteed from year to year.
  5. I understand that the appropriate staff coordinating the event for my organization must participate in trainings as part of a successful Give Local 757 giving day campaign.
  6. I understand that if I have miscategorized my organization's size based on its total revenue, I will forfeit any prize funds connected with our size. Total revenue is defined as the amount shown on line 12 of your agency’s most recent form 990.
  7. I understand that in the event of a disputed donation GiveGab will make every effort to win the dispute by submitting evidence on my organization's behalf. In the case that a dispute is lost, the full amount of the disputed donation and donation processing fees fees will be pulled from my organization’s bank account, and my organization will be charged a $15 dispute fee.
  8. I understand that only donations made through the Give Local 757 portal will count toward any prizes offered as part of the 24-hour event. Please note: offline gifts (cash and checks) count toward overall dollars raised but are not eligible for any prizes.
  9. All prize winners will undergo an audit by the Give Local 757 team within 10 business days following the event. If an agency is found to have manipulated donor data in any way, the agency shall forfeit their prize. Please refer to Prize Rules for more information.
  10. A unique donor is identified by donor NAME, last 4-digits of donor’s credit card & donor email.
  11. All cash prize winners will be subject to providing their most recent 990 filing and/or previous year’s financials. This will be required to verify all prize winners’ budget size.
  12. I understand that my organization is responsible for focusing its marketing efforts in the days, weeks and months leading up to Give Local 757 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 to create a sense of community-wide excitement among donors, volunteers, media partners, and fellow nonprofits.
  13. I understand that my organization’s profile and bank information must be complete no later than March 30, 2024 in order to participate in the giving day. If not, my profile will be marked ineligible and not able to receive donations.
  14. I understand that Give Local 757 is not responsible for the amount of money contributed to my organization through Give Local 757 and understand that donors choose where to place their gifts and that the organizers of the Local 757 have no control of this process.
  15. I confirm that my organization has a website, Facebook page and/or other social media account(s) and that we will add the Give Local 757 link to each to promote our participation in the giving day.
  16. I understand that my organization's staff, board of directors, volunteers, and donors should promote Give Local 757 up to and on the giving day using social media, email, phone or other methods of communication.
  17. I understand that GiveGab.com is an online platform that will process all online contributions made to the event.
  18. I understand that my organization will receive all the monies that have been donated to my organization less any transaction fees not covered by the individual donor.
  19. 19. I understand that all online donations will be disbursed after 5 – 7 business days via electronic funds transfer minus transaction fees. I understand that if I do not provide routing information for automatic transfer I will not be able to participate. Any prize money earned will be mailed by check from the Peninsula Community Foundation within 4 weeks of the event.
  20. I understand inaccurate or incomplete banking information will result in a delay in the delivery of donations. Give Local 757 will make our best effort to resolve this matter with you. If, after 60 days post event you do not respond, your funds will be forfeited.
  21. I certify that, by participating in Give Local 757 my organization, volunteers, supporters and staff consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded. My organization’s participation constitutes our consent to such photography, filming and/or recording and their unrestricted use by Give Local 757.
  22. 22. I understand that if my agency has a question or concern about the event, the first way to reach the team is through the chat feature on the Give Local 757 website or support@givegab.com. If the GiveGab representatives (who monitor the chat feature) are not able to resolve the issue, the GiveGab team will escalate the issue to a local Give Local 757 representative at tflynn@pcfvirginia.org.
  23. I understand that the Peninsula Community Foundation will not process refunds for registration payment.
  24. I have read the FAQs and agree to comply with these Terms of Service.
