Laura Baxter's ASYMCAHR Give Local 757

Hello Friends! I’m proud to be participating in this year’s Give 757 campaign in support of the Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads, an organization I care deeply about.

In my role, I’ve witnessed moments that have stayed with me. I watched one military child comfort another who was heartbroken because his father would be deployed during his birthday. I also remember a young girl in our preschool class who quietly shared that there was no food at home, and because of donor support, we were able to provide groceries for her family from our Patriot's Pantry that very day.

These experiences are powerful reminders that behind every program is a real family navigating the challenges of military life. Behind every active duty member protecting our own families on the homefront is a military family and  children who are also sacrificing.
