Music Outfitters for Homeschoolers

At YMV, we want to give every student a chance to gain the benefits of music education that go beyond musicianship: learning cooperation, teamwork, and respect in a diverse environment. 

Student Musician Chairs

We are in need of proper chairs for our students to encourage proper posture and facilitate ease during long rehearsals. We are very limited on storage space so the stackable chairs on a dolly are ideal.

Transportation

Spring means it's time to hit the road! Every year, YMV packs up our equipment, including music stands, timpani, choral risers, mallet instruments, and more, our luggage, and all of our students in Advanced Performing Ensembles for a multi-day trip. We combine free performances for audiences such as after school programs and retirement homes with educational sight-seeing and social development opportunities. The cost of traveling is steep but we encourage our students to find ways to fund their own expenses. The bus is usually our biggest expense, and covering this cost allows students to maximize their own fundraising efforts while providing support to the overall goals.

Music Scholarships

Every year our teachers nominate outstanding high school students for merit-based scholarships to help with tuition and related expenses such as instruments, supplies, and formal wear. Recipients have a proven track record of musical excellence, a solid work ethic, and exemplary moral character. We wish to assist those who are dedicated to the study of music and are role models for younger students to emulate.
