The 20 Pearls Foundation Inc. is fundraising to support the Katherine Goble Johnson STEM Endowment.
Katherine Goble Johnson was a pioneering African American mathematician whose brilliance shaped some of the most important aeronautics and space achievements of the 20th century, highlighted through her work with NACA and NASA. Johnson’s legacy extends far beyond her technical accomplishments; her perseverance, precision, and courage opened doors for women in scientific fields. This pioneering spirit was also shared as she served her community in Hampton Roads through the Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
The Katherine Goble Johnson STEM Endowment will share Dr. Johnson's story as her legacy continues to inspire new generations to explore and excel in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, reminding young people across the nation that curiosity and determination can change history.
Women pursuing undergraduate studies in STEM fields with a 3.0 GPA or higher who live in the Mid-Atlantic region (Virginia /North Carolina) are eligible to apply for scholarships.
