A band of brothers… now “Brothers 2” 🐾💛

We’ve been lucky to share our lives with three incredible dogs—Mojo, Onyx, and Vinny—each with their own story, but all united by love, resilience, and a mission to give back.

Mojo wasn’t a SEVA GRREAT alum like his brothers, but he was always by their side. He loved attending events, greeting everyone with his signature smile and offering a paw to anyone who needed it. He reminded us how powerful simple joy can be.

Onyx’s journey began in a shelter in Istanbul, Turkey. He arrived underweight, with skin issues, anxiety, and even heartworms. But with the love of a dedicated foster and the care of SEVA GRREAT, he healed. That same year, on Veterans Day, he found his forever home with two veterans. Today, he’s a certified therapy dog who has spent over three years spreading comfort, love, and hope throughout the community. He shows up to events not just for the attention—but to help raise funds so other dogs can get the second chance he did.

Vinny, our gentle giant, was adopted on Father’s Day 2023. Nearly 100 pounds of pure love, he’s equal parts goofy and brave. When he was rescued, his future was uncertain—he needed throat surgery, treatment for multiple medical issues, and ongoing care. But SEVA GRREAT never gave up on him. Neither did we. What started as fostering quickly turned into our first “foster fail”—or as we see it, our greatest success. Today, Vinny is a certified therapy dog, a dock diver, a swimmer, and a source of comfort for children and the elderly alike.

These boys are why we support Southeastern Virginia Golden Retriever Rescue, Education, and Training (SEVA GRREAT). Because every dog deserves a chance—not just to survive, but to thrive.
