For people with a criminal record, the road to recovery can be full of barriers. Even after facing legal consequences, they are often denied a job, a chance to further their education, or a roof over their head. Second chances give people with a criminal record an opportunity to start fresh.
That’s why Prison Fellowship started Second Chance Month in 2017 to raise awareness of the thousands of legal barriers people with a criminal record face. Second Chance Month has grown into a nationwide movement recognized by the president, Congress, governors, law enforcement agencies, and more.
