Shelter dogs didn’t just come into my life—they changed it.

My soul dogs both came from shelters, and they shaped who I am in ways I’ll carry forever.

Ace, my handsome black lab, came to me at 7 years old after being returned three separate times. Not because he wasn’t a good dog—but because of dietary restrictions and chronic skin issues. He was overlooked, passed on, and misunderstood. But to me, he was steady, loyal, and pure love.

Then there was Chessa, my German Shepherd. My beautiful, loyal, sweet girl. She was found on the streets after just having puppies—heartworm positive, abused, and carrying more than any dog ever should. And still, she trusted. Still, she loved.

They were everything to me.

They taught me patience, compassion, resilience—and what it really means to show up for someone who needs you.

That’s why supporting shelters isn’t optional for me. It’s personal.

Behind every dog in a shelter is a story like theirs—dogs who are overlooked, returned, neglected, or hurting. Dogs who just need someone to give them a chance.

Organizations like the Chesapeake Humane Society are the reason dogs like Ace and Chessa got that chance. They provide the medical care, rehabilitation, and the support these animals needed to survive—and eventually thrive.

I’m raising money to help support that mission—so more dogs get the opportunity my dogs had.

If you’re able to donate, it truly makes a difference. And if not, sharing this helps more than you know.

Because every dog deserves someone who sees them for who they are—and gives them the chance to be loved.

Thank you for being part of this. ❤️🐾
