I have been a part of the Hampton-Newport News *(VA) Kappa Alpha Psi, Achievement Foundation since its inception. I served as a board member, its president and chairman of the board of directors. 

The foundation and its members are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young men. We assist them in understanding their human potential and aid them in becoming confident, competent and caring individuals.

Our young men range in ages from 13 - 18.  During the past 50 years, there have been hundreds of young men in our Kappa League Program. Currently, there are 80 young men in the (Guide Right) Kappa League Program. Through constant guidance and professional support, we have been able to achieve tremendous results.

One hundred percent of our young men graduate from high school. The majority are high academic achievers. Ninety percent go on to attend colleges or universities throughout the United States. Those who choose not to attend college or university immediately join a branch of the United States Armed Forces. 

I know we are assisting young men who honor the attributes and tenets of "Faith, Family and Work".

In addition to the Kappa League Program, donations to the Achievement Foundation help us underwrite the Kappa Cardinal Athletic Association. The association provides wholesome competitive sport team activities for over 150 young boys and girls. Their ages range from 6 to 13 years old. 

Additionally, this year we will award scholarships to 20 college bound young men.
