Seniors are the fastest-growing segment of the population--and their numbers are outgrowing the resources available. Many seniors are aging into poverty and isolation. Senior Services is the largest non-profit dedicated to the needs of seniors in Southeastern Virginia. We work to give every senior the opportunity to age in place with choice and dignity.

What We Do:

• Deliver fresh, nutritious meals to homebound seniors

• Help older adults without housing navigate social services and find a new home

• Provide seniors with free, on-demand transportation to doctor's appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store, and more

• Match isolated seniors with companions

Who We Are

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia is the designated Area Agency on Aging for South Hampton Roads and Western Tidewater. That means we are the community’s personalized one-stop resource for senior services. We provide older adults and their caregiver families with access to programs and services that will ENHANCE AND SUPPORT their ability to live independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. Our coverage area includes Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Franklin, Southampton and Isle of Wight Counties. We are a 501 (3) (c) nonprofit agency, so we depend on community support to help us get the job done.
