Norfolk SPCA

A nonprofit organization

$75,167 raised by 388 donors

Seven days a week, our shelter is open for adoptions of homeless animals.  We also provide affordable veterinary services for animal patients six days a week.  Our clinic's special mission helps reduce the incidence of people surrendering their animal companions because they cannot afford medical care.

We’re fundraising for the HOPE Fund, every dollar helps us cover medical expenses and spay/neuter surgeries for animals who deserve a fresh start.

The HOPE Fund is the heartbeat of our mission—turning pain into healing and second chances into lifelong happiness.

Our goal for 2025 is to raise $15,000 for the HOPE Fund—an amount that will be matched thanks to the incredible generosity of The Breeden Company and The Franklin Group. Because of their support, your gift will go twice as far in providing lifesaving medical care to animals in need.

Help us turn Hurt into Hope!

Who We Are

Established in 1892, the Norfolk SPCA is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the country. Originally founded because of concerns about the mistreatment of working horses, the Norfolk SPCA now shelters, treats, rehabilitates and rehomes household companion animals from throughout Hampton Roads to give them the extra time and care needed to find that forever home. More recently, we’ve added two affordable veterinary clinics open to the public.
