Just $25 provides one ride to a student for their life-changing internship.
Our 2025 Give Local 757 goal is to raise funds to cover point-to-point, safe and reliable transportation for interns with disabilities 400 times.

Building a truly inclusive community requires removing barriers, and Community Knights (CK) collaborates with local partners to achieve this mission. Our primary programming provides work and volunteer soft-skill building opportunities in the community to people with developmental or intellectual disabilities, while ensuring they have safe and reliable transportation for these experiences. We do so with a team of dedicated, innovative job coaches and drivers to ensure the growth and safety of our program participants.

To date, CK interns have worked for over 8,000 hours, and CK has provided over 3,000 individual transports to access these skill- and resume-building opportunities.

Who We Are

We serve the marginalized, overlooked, and underfunded. Driven to show these groups that they matter, and can thrive. This is achieved through our programs, such as GIFT and COACH.

GIFT provides grant funding for public school and nonprofit programs. These grants fund childhood literacy, tutoring, life sustenance programs, athletic opportunities, the arts, and so much more! To date we have granted $1,532,000 to 187 groups on the Peninsula, with the help of over 86,000 volunteer hours. The second component is our passion for collaboration. We provide a platform for these groups to network and share knowledge that aids in growth.

With COACH we support and include adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We facilitate volunteerism by providing job coaching partners who work with the individual and the Nonprofit to create a positive experience. Many would be unable to gain engagement on their own. This experience provides the opportunity to learn skills, gain confidence and more importantly gain a purpose.
