History

The 4C3 Project was founded as the Zeta Lambda Education Foundation and was incorporated in 1998 as a public not-for-profit organization. The mission of the the 4C3 Project is to promote educational and community involvement for middle and high school students through mentorship, scholarships, leadership, and community awareness in the Hampton Roads Area.

Mentorship and Leadership

The 4C3 Project supports mentoring through Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and Project Alpha.

LDI reaches out to the brightest and best high school students and instills leadership qualities and skills that will assist them in becoming tomorrow’s leaders today. LDI provides these students a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a university atmosphere. Intensive and exciting workshops, lectures, small group discussions, interactive seminars, tours, and recreational and cultural activities have been provided over the years to engage and educate participants.

Project Alpha provides education for young males on sexuality, fatherhood and the role of males in relationships; motivates young men to make good decisions about their goals and values and act in ways that support their decisions; and build young men's skills through role-playing utilizing appropriate male role models and mentors.  Learning takes place through a motivational speaker and a series of workshops to engage students
