Youth Sailing Virginia, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Thank you for your support of Youth Sailing Virginia — your community sailing center!

At Youth Sailing Virginia (YSV), we are committed to expanding access to the water for all, beginning with youth water safety and continuing through lifelong sailing opportunities.

Our programs are led by U.S. Sailing–certified instructors and include:

  • Beginner Sailing
  • Intermediate Sailing
  • Intro to Racing
  • Water Safety & Survival
  • Adult Sailing
  • Family Learn-to-Sail (all ages)

YSV is proud to be one of just 43 accredited U.S. Sailing Community Sailing Centers in the United States. As a community sailing center, we also:

  • Serve as a hub for high school sailing
  • Host regattas for the Virginia Interscholastic Sailing Association and the Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association
  • Operate as a REACH STEM Education Center

We design every program with four guiding goals:

  • Build diversity so our programs reflect our community
  • Maximize access for youth of all socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Integrate STEM learning through hands-on, on-the-water experiences
  • Develop life skills, including leadership, independence, focus, decision-making, self-reliance, and teamwork

Your support makes all of this possible. THANK YOU  for helping us open the water to everyone.
