Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts

The mission of the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is to cultivate, promote, and provide access to the creative arts for all residents and visitors through programs, education, and outreach. We are a comprehensive arts facility that offers 78,000 square feet of space in which to educate, entertain and enlighten the Western Tidewater Community. Thousands visit each year attending stage performances, gallery exhibitions, creative classes, immersive summer camps, and special events. 

The Suffolk Center is home to a 500-seat professionally equipped theater that brings a diverse range of quality performances that serve the residents of the Western Tidewater region each year. We also house two exquisite art galleries in which multiple exhibitions are conducted to promote the work of local and regional artists of all ages. The Suffolk Center also offers space and equipment to conduct over 75 visual and performing arts workshops for all ages and experience levels and provides community members and corporate partners access to an elegant ballroom and various meeting spaces to hold formal and informal gatherings.  

While we are proud of all the Suffolk Center has to offer, we are most proud of the impact we have on the children throughout our communities. We believe that having access to a diverse cultural arts experience is an essential component of a holistic education, especially in the development of today's youth. The Suffolk Center strives to use the arts to provide experiential learning opportunities that enrich the lives of all children in the Western Tidewater region and beyond.
