NAMI Coastal Virginia

NAMI Coastal Virginia is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities affected by mental health conditions across Hampton Roads.

Our mission: To provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

We offer free, high-impact programs including educational classes, peer-led support groups, school and campus-based mental health education, community presentations, and advocacy that promotes access to care and reduces stigma. Our services reach individuals living with mental illness, veterans and military families, caregivers, students, and community members seeking support, understanding, and connection.

As the area’s leading voice for mental health, NAMI Coastal Virginia ensures that no one feels alone on their journey. Every program is delivered at no cost to the community, made possible through donor support, grants, and community partnerships.
