Mosaic Steel Orchestra

For nearly 20 years, Mosaic Steel Orchestra has been a lifeline for youth across Hampton Roads.

Through our Mosaic Academy youth programs, we provide consistent, high-quality music education, mentorship, and performance opportunities to young people—primarily in historically underserved communities. What begins as learning an instrument grows into discipline, confidence, teamwork, and a sense of purpose.

Each year, hundreds of students participate in our in-school programs, community classes, summer camps, and public performances. For many, this is more than an activity—it is a safe space, a support system, and a pathway to something greater.

Right now, that work is at risk.

With the sudden closure of our current home at MacArthur Center in June 2026, Mosaic Steel Orchestra must secure a new facility—quickly—to avoid disruption to the students and families who depend on us.
