Mosaic Steel Orchestra

Mosaic Steel Orchestra was founded in 2006, incorporated on June 21, 2007, and received our IRS 501(c)(3) determination in August 2007. Since then, the Orchestra has been a leading force in bringing high-quality music education and meaningful performance experiences to distressed communities across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Each year, we engage youth throughout the region through Mosaic Academy community programs, summer camps, workshops, and performances—expanding access, building confidence, and strengthening community through the power of music.

Our Mission: Generating Creativity in Distressed Communities through steelpan to Cultivate the next generation of Problem Solvers. Our Mosaic Academy programs have proven benefits of increasing memory, attention and concentration.
