Institute for Dance, Inc.

                                       

Institute for Dance, Inc., serves approximately 200 students in the Williamsburg area. Talented faculty train dancers in multiple styles of dance, with several performance opportunities offered throughout the year.

This year, our fundraising campaign will be divided into two directions:  

Student Scholarships.  We will continue to build on our existing scholarship program, which offers need-based tuition assistance for dancers in our community.  For the 2025-26 dance year, iDance awarded over $8,000 in scholarship funds to multiple dancers in need.  These scholarships help iDance to reach students of all backgrounds and abilities in the greater Williamsburg area.  

General Studio Support -   Tuition dollars cover only the organization's operating costs; therefore, improvements and enhancements to our studio space must be funded with private support.   Potential upgrades for the current year include:

1) Scholarship - to provide need-based scholarship to dancers.   

2) Studio enhancement/ upgrades - to includes storage shelving, upgraded studio barres and class equipment.   

As a non-profit, iDance always seeks to keep our ticket prices and tuition as low as possible. Private dollars are critically important to supporting our organization's operations and making it possible for us continue to serve our community in this way.

Our mission is to support our community by instilling the love of dance and performance through teachers who value, nurture, correct and encourage student potential.

--Students to become better dancers in discipline, technique and artistic expression;
--Students who grow to be confident, ambitious, poised and creative individuals;
--Students to develop an appreciation for community enrichment by improving the health and quality of life of those they meet.
