HELP, Inc. (Hampton Roads Ecumenical Lodgings & Provisions)

Since 1982, Hampton Roads Ecumenical Lodgings & Provisions, Inc (HELP Inc) has focused on one mission: providing dignifying, empowering, and faith-based safety-net shelter, healthcare and support to our community's most vulnerable people. Over the years, HELP has grown into a network of more than 60 congregations, schools, businesses, civic organizations, volunteers, and local government partners working together to provide hope and stability to more than 2,000 people a year. 

HELP's homelessness services center on ensuring our neighbors who are struggling with stable housing have a place to sleep in the coldest months of the year (A Night's Welcome winter shelter), ensuring single moms have a place to keep their families safe and together (Emergency Housing), and ensuring access to basic human services and comprehensive case management (HELP Day Center). Last year, the Day Center provided over 13,000 services for 1,023 people and the A Night's Welcome provided 8,300 bed nights of shelter and 20,000 meals for 430 people. 
In 2025, HELP assisted 117 individuals in regaining and maintaining stable housing. 
That's life-changing. 

HELP's healthcare services, first began in 2001, have for the last 4 years focused solely on dental care. At the HELP Dental Clinic, we serve uninsured adults with household incomes below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. Our patients are employees who can't afford their employer's dental coverage, seniors on Medicare, veterans who don't receive dental care through the VA, and many others. The clinic provides comprehensive dental care--everything from exams and x-rays to cleanings and restorative care. 
The HELP Dental Clinic currently supports 600 active patients, providing more than $250,000 worth of care each year.

Through HELP's 3D Dental Lab, our patients have access to dentures, crowns, and night guards at up to 90% off of their retail costs. $4,000 dentures can be provided for $450 or less. $2,000 crowns? As low as $175. That puts money right back into the pockets of our patients for the other necessities in life.
