Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA) was founded in 1919 by the Norfolk Rotary Club. Back then, we were known as Boys Club of Norfolk. Today, we have 9 Clubs in 7 cities. Because of our geographic reach, we are now Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia; and serve children ages 6-18.

Our mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.”

Our 3 priority outcomes for our members are:

In light of the current Pandemic.
Support Our Mission
We are currently facing unprecedented times that have forced our Clubs to halt normal programming.

Safety is our number one priority and in order to keep children, our staff & volunteers protected from the COVID-19 Virus, we are unable to offer traditional after-school programming. We are doing everything possible to ensure that our families needs are met.

We are committed to spending this time developing our staff and programs in order to better serve the community throughout this crisis and beyond.

Club staff are currently enhancing professional development by participating in national training programs offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

We are developing a virtual learning program to offer to Club members.

Staff are also in constant communication with families connecting them to services including but not limited to; financial relief support, access to food, etc.

Our kids need us, we need YOU.

Please consider supporting us throughout this time, so that we can continue to help our Club members and their families, even when our doors are closed, and to be ready to re-open for our kids as soon as possible.

100% of the funds raised will go straight to helping our organization implement and execute virtual programming for Club members, allow our staff to continue providing support to Club members and their families, as well as ensure we are fully prepared to open our doors when we get the call.
