Mutts With A Mission

For those who serve our nation and communities, the mission doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. The weight of service—whether carried home from deployment, the aftermath of a critical incident, or years on the front lines—can be life-altering.

Mutts With A Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to training and placing highly skilled Service Dogs with Veterans, Wounded Warriors, Law Enforcement Officers, and First Responders living with service-connected or line-of-duty disabilities. These dogs provide constant, reliable assistance that helps restore independence, confidence, and a sense of stability. Each Service Dog is trained to perform complex, individualized tasks—from mobility and medical assistance to interrupting night terrors and providing grounding support.

In addition to Service Dogs, Mutts With A Mission trains and places Facility Dogs that support the Law Enforcement community and serve aboard United States Navy ships. We currently have three Expeditionary Facility Dogs assigned to Navy ships on the East Coast and three on the West Coast, impacting thousands of Sailors and Marines every day. In high-stress operational environments—often far from home—these dogs provide connection and calm where it is needed most.

We are proudly accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI), the gold standard in the Service Dog industry. This accreditation reflects our commitment to rigorous training and exceptional outcomes. Each dog undergoes extensive, specialized preparation for real-world environments.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Mutts With A Mission provides these life-changing dogs at no cost to recipients, aside from a small application fee—removing financial barriers for those who have already sacrificed so much.
