Faithwalkers

FaithWalkers' goal is to reduce recidivism by connecting citizens to programs and support as they transition back into society. We focus on the geographic area centered around Williamsburg, James City County and York County in Virginia. Our programs include: Mentoring in jails and an addiction recovery setting; Supervising court mandated community service and Youth Chess programs. In Feb 2026 we opened the FaithWalkers Resource and Prevention Center with the goal of helping stabilize individuals in terms of housing, food, employment, etc.  Our support links include local business and organizations that provide direct and indirect support for returning citizens. An integral part of our focus is assisting children that are directly affected by parents re-entering society after incarceration. FaithWalkers oversees three Youth Chess Clubs that provide children with a safe place to gather, enjoy their own "club", and learn the life lessons that chess embodies.
