As part of the team at the Anchor Scholarship Foundation, I have the privilege of seeing firsthand the life-changing impact a scholarship can have on U.S. Surface Navy families. It not only helps ease the financial burden of higher education, but it also sends a powerful message: we see you, and we appreciate your sacrifices.
This mission is especially personal to me. I am a Navy brat, a Navy veteran and a Navy spouse, so I’ve experienced the realities these families face; frequent moves, changing schools, and long deployments. These challenges are part of the journey, but overwhelming student debt shouldn’t have to be.
Today, I’m asking my friends and family to join me in supporting Anchor Scholarship Foundation’s mission. As an organization, we are working to raise over $7,500 before midnight on May 5th, and I’ve committed to raising at least $500 toward that goal.
If we are successful, we will support up to 50 scholars who will soon be named the 2026 Anchor Scholarship recipients, that’s 50 U.S. Surface Navy family members whose lives will be directly impacted.
