Transportation

Spring means it's time to hit the road! Every year, YMV packs up our equipment, including music stands, timpani, choral risers, mallet instruments, and more, our luggage, and all of our students in Advanced Performing Ensembles for a multi-day trip. We combine free performances for audiences such as after school programs and retirement homes with educational sight-seeing and social development opportunities. The cost of traveling is steep but we encourage our students to find ways to fund their own expenses. The bus is usually our biggest expense, and covering this cost allows students to maximize their own fundraising efforts while providing support to the overall goals. $125 provides one student with transportation for the duration of the trip.
