Prevention Services promotes wellness through using a Strategic Framework to prioritize and reduce risk factors and increase protective factors to foster positive behavioral health among our citizens and communities.
Prevention:
- Reduce alcohol, drugs, and tobacco use among youth
- Reduce problematic behaviors
- Enhance development of healthy youth and families
Community Development:
Building partnerships in the community to maximize positive outcomes for our children, youth, and families.
Programs:
We offer many different programs which are key components to assist with the development of youth and families in our community.
Al’s Pals, ACE Interface, RELATE, Life Skills and other drug prevention related activities are just a few examples.
There are numerous ways you can support the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board Prevention Services Program. Youth, adults, agencies, other organizations can donate to help support our efforts.
