Scholarships for U.S. Surface Navy Dependents

Your support has the power to change a life. With your gift, you can help ensure that Surface Navy dependents have access to the higher education they deserve.

For more than 45 years, the Anchor Scholarship Foundation has stood beside our nation's Surface Navy by investing in the futures of their dependents.

These committed dependents face challenges many of us will never know. Frequent moves uproot them schools, jobs, and communities, many times in the middle of a school year or during critical career-building years. They often must start over and over again, while enduring long long months without a parent or spouse at home due to deployment.

And yet they rise. Resilient and determined, they remain proud of their family's service.

In 2025 alone, we awarded over $167,000 in scholarships to 46 deserving Surface Navy dependents. Scholarships are based on several criteria, equally weighted: academic performance, extracurricular activities, financial need, and character. Each scholarship ranges between $2,500 and $10,000. These scholarships are more than financial assistance, they are a lifeline of stability and encouragement during some of the most challenging years in a young person's life.

Not only does your donation ease the burden these families have when it comes to paying for higher education costs, but your donation also tells these folks, we see you and we appreciate your sacrifices. These families face unique challenges brought on by frequent moves, new schools and multiple deployments. Taking on surmountable higher educational debt should not be one of these challenges. 

Today, I am asking for my friends and family to help me ensure that Anchor Scholarship Foundation continues this important work. As an organization, we have a goal to raise over $7,500 before midnight on May 5th. I have committed to raising at least $500 through my fundraiser. 

If we are successful, we will have assisted up to 50 scholars who will soon be named the 2026 Anchor Scholarship recipients. That's 50 U.S. Surface Navy family scholarships! Tell them you appreciate their sacrifices and want to take one less challenge off their plates. Please help.
