Mission: To nurture young children by providing affordable, quality preschool programs that develop the whole child and foster school readiness.

About Us:  Peake provides a high quality early education at rates local families can afford. We believe the early years of learning are the most important. Our aim is to nurture and to develop the whole child. We feel each child is special and unique. We provide opportunities for the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth of our children using a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Project: Trips that Teach

For our preschoolers, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Lessons come to life out in the real world. Field trips are where curiosity sparks, friendships grow, and new ideas take hold. Whether it’s a first visit to a museum or a hands-on nature experience, these moments help shape how children see themselves and their community.

This Give Local campaign is dedicated to making those moments possible.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to fund meaningful, enriching field trips for Peake’s children this summer for both our Hampton and Newport News campuses. These experiences produce long-lasting effects for preschoolers. Research shows that students who participate in multiple field trips have a stronger academic performance and increased cultural conscientiousness over time.

Aside from learning life skills, field trips also provide the opportunity for our students to explore and connect with their community. When children feel like a member of their community, they are more likely to become engaged citizens and neighbors as they mature.
