Who We Are

For 53 years, Peninsula Pastoral Counseling Center (PPCC) has served individuals, couples, and families on the Virginia Peninsula. Faithful to our mission, PPCC guides people toward wholeness and health through professional counseling, consultation, and education, while respecting and integrating their personal and spiritual values.

PPCC provides professional counseling through a team of highly trained, licensed clinicians who support clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and more. Nationally accredited by Solihten Institute, an interfaith network of counseling centers across the United States, PPCC is committed to the integrated care of mind, body, spirit and community.

PPCC is also committed to serving those with limited financial resources. While many clients utilize their health insurance to cover the cost of counseling, PPCC also has a Client Assistance Fund, which makes it possible for clients to receive care if they are uninsured or underinsured.

Since 1973, PPCC has provided more than 250,000 counseling sessions.

In addition to counseling, PPCC offers preventive services through educational events and workshops for the community. In 2022, PPCC launched a training program for interns and residents who provide services at our satellite locations in Williamsburg and Hampton, offering groups for refugees and counseling to underserved and homeless populations.
